Shared Line

The Shared Line feature allows up to six devices ring simultaneously on a single number.

Get in Touch

The Shared Line feature allows you to register up to six devices or phones under a single phone number. When someone calls that number, all registered devices will ring simultaneously. For instance, you could run the Bria Softphone on your mobile while also using the desktop client on your laptop—when a call comes in, both devices will ring at the same time.

The Shared Line feature is enabled on all Kiwi Internet numbers by default.

How it works

  • Choose one device as your primary device.
  • In the SIP settings, enter your Kiwi Internet number and password as usual.
  • For each additional device, add a suffix to your login in the format: -1 through -5.
  • Each device must have a unique suffix, but the password remains the same.

Example configuration:

  • Primary Device – Cisco VoIP handset → Login: 02825586770
  • 2nd Device – Bria Desktop App → Login: 02825586770-1
  • 3rd Device – Bria Mobile App → Login: 02825586770-2
  • …and so on.

Important Notes:

  • Calls cannot be transferred between devices registered as shared lines.
  • If one device is busy, all devices will appear busy.
  • For call transfer functionality, we recommend using multiple numbers with the Kiwi Internet Simultaneous Ring feature.
